SWEDEN – Linda Bradley, President of the Board of Directors of the Sweden Food Pantry, received a Spirit of America Award from Oxford County Commissioners in December. Nominated by the Board of Selectmen for the Town of Sweden, Bradley was honored to receive the Award. She remarked, “It will hang in a place of prominence in the food pantry. Thank you everyone who made this award possible.”

The Spirit of Service Award recognizes outstanding civilians who display the core qualities of honor, integrity, and excellence in their everyday service during the previous year. The award honors individuals outside government whose work is critical to the goal of a better government and a stronger democracy.
The Sweden Food Pantry is open on the first and third Wednesdays of each month from 10:00AM – 1:00PM. The pantry presently serves participants from the towns of Bridgton, Harrison, Fryeburg, Lovell, Stoneham, Stow, Sweden and Waterford. However, no eligible family or person is turned away.
