Franklin Savings Bank is proud to announce its designation as a Registered Apprenticeship Site in collaboration with the Foster Career and Technical Education Center (FCTEC) and the Department of Education. This partnership marks an exciting expansion of a relationship that began 31 years ago with the introduction of the Bank Teller Training Program at FCTEC.
Over the past three decades, Franklin Savings Bank has worked closely with FCTEC to provide students with hands-on banking experience and valuable career opportunities. To date, more than 30 former students of the Teller Training Program have gone on to join Franklin Savings Bank as seasonal, part-time, or full-time employees, many of whom continue to contribute to the bank’s success.
“Since our founding in 1868, community engagement has been at the heart of our mission. Partnering with the Foster CTE Center to inspire and support the next generation of banking professionals is a natural extension of that commitment,” said President and CEO of Franklin Savings Bank, Tim Thompson.
The new Registered Apprenticeship Program builds on this legacy by offering students opportunities to explore a variety of roles across all departments at Franklin Savings Bank. From marketing to customer service and beyond, the program is designed to provide comprehensive training, mentorship, and real-world insights into the field of banking.
Haily Turner, Franklin Savings Bank’s Branch Supervisor at the high school, shared her enthusiasm for the program: “It’s incredibly rewarding to see students grow and develop through our training programs. This new apprenticeship will take that experience to the next level, giving students a deeper understanding of the career paths available to them.”
Franklin Savings Bank is excited to welcome the next generation of aspiring professionals into the apprenticeship program and looks forward to continuing its longstanding partnership with FCTEC to foster education and career development in Franklin County.
