Sen. Hickman welcomes robotics teams to the State House
Sen. Hickman with Hall-Dale, Gardiner and Monmouth
AUGUSTA – On Thursday, May 16, Sen. Craig Hickman of Winthrop welcomed the Hall-Dale, Gardiner, and Monmouth Robotics Teams to the State House. A robotics competition took place in the Hall of Flags. Sen. Hickman then invited the students to the Veterans and Legal Affairs committee room, where they shared stories about how much robotics means to them.
“It was obvious that these students excel at these athletics of the mind,” Sen. Hickman said. “Their pride and enthusiasm for designing robots and competing in both Maine and around the country was inspiring. I appreciate the STEM fields and look forward to seeing what other inventions these masterminds create in the future.”
