Turner-Turner Public Library Receives Grant

On Thursday Match 21st, a team of employees from Bangor Savings Bank came to the Turner Public Library to present a generous check. The library had applied for a grant through the bank and was awarded $4,000 to be used for purchasing Young Adult books and to update the old and outdated non-fiction collection.

Jeremy Turner, vice president of the library trustees and Nicole Van Tassel, library director were thrilled to receive the check on behalf of the library. “This money will greatly benefit the entire community and will really boost the collection we currently have. A large portion of our library budget relies on grants and donations so thisĀ is so appreciated,” Nicole shared. This money will provide the library with roughly 200 new books and adding to the collection is wonderful news for the growing population of Turner!
