Bridgton – Festival of Lights

Dec. 52023

Festival of Lights

On Saturday night, December 2nd, The Annual Bridgton Festival of Lights parade wended its way through the streets of Bridgton towards the Community Center. This year’s theme was “Snow Globes”. A large crowd of all ages showed plenty of holiday spirit as many colorful floats, followed by several fire and emergency vehicles, passed by. It was a fun time for all, and especially exciting for the youngsters. It was followed by the Tree Lighting in front of the Community Center at 6 p.m.

One of the standout floats was offered by The Bridgton Easy Riders Snowmobile Club, featuring a beautifully restored vintage 1970 Ski-Doo Snowmobile visible inside a lighted Snow Globe.

Thanks to Blaine and Jan Chapman, Duane and Kathy Hendrix, and Jimmy and Jackie Barber, for their hard work creating this magnificent Bridgton Easy Riders Snowmobile Club float for the parade. Thanks to Ron Mercier for the use of his beautiful vintage Ski-Doo sled on our float. Thanks to Tony Passalaqua and Liam Grant for helping distribute candy from the float to the kids along the parade route. Last but not least, thanks to our canine mascot Bailey, who rode on the float.

Thank you to everyone who came out to see The Festival of Lights.
