We’re kicking off National Bike Month, with the Bicycle Coalition of Maine’s Bike Day at the CapitolThursday May 4!
Try out an e-bike, join us on a walk audit of the neighborhood, hear members of the BCM, Maine DOT, and legislators talk about important bills related to bike/ped safety and infrastructure here in Maine. We’re looking forward to a fantastic spring day to share the work we are doing, and to get some folks out on bikes!
Schedule of events:
11:30 a.m. – Ride to the Capitol– Meet at the parking lot at State and Manly Streets at 11:15 and we will leave promptly at 11:30 for a short ride to the Capitol
12:00 p.m. – Press conference with speakers from the BCM, Joyce Taylor from MaineDot, State Sen. Mattie Daughtry, and others
