
WATERVILLE – Registration is open for the 2022 Parade of Lights, which will include Winslow this year, extending the parade to both sides of the Kennebec River.
The parade will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26. Floats will assemble at Winslow High School, travel down Benton Avenue, cross the bridge, travel up Main Street, and end at the intersection of Elm, College and Main streets. It will take place rain or shine.
Area schools, businesses, churches, organizations and municipalities are all welcome to participate, and registration is open at . The deadline is Nov. 14. There is a $25 registration fee, and the number of floats is limited to 30. All floats must be decorated, and lights are encouraged. The only Santa and Mrs. Clause allowed are the official Kringleville Santa and Mrs. Clause.
The Children’s Discovery Museum is collaborating with the cities of Waterville and Winslow to host the parade.
