Skowhegan Trunk or Treat is Oct. 29, in new location

SKOWHEGAN – Town residents, businesses and community groups are invited by the Skowhegan Regional Chamber of Commerce to participate in Trunk or Treat, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at Skowhegan Community Center, 39 Poulin Drive.
The event is free for children, who can come in costume and travel from trunk to trunk for treats at each vehicle. This year’s event is at a new location, so it can be alongside Skowhegan Parks and Recreation Centers Family Friendly Haunted House, which has festivities beginning at noon.
Those who open their trunks for the event are encouraged to decorate it, family friendly, and a prize will be given to the best decorated trunk.
All businesses with cars and trucks are welcome. They must complete a registration form beforehand. Those offering trunks do not need to dress in costume, although it’s encourage. But all vehicles must be decorated, and can be displayed with business name.
Awards will be by people’s choice.
Registration is free for trunkers, but due by 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27. To register, click here.
