LEWISTON — Lewiston Farmers’ Market will host a celebration of the new market location, 2 Oxford St., and the adjacent green space at 75 Lincoln St., at 10:30 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 18.
Activities will include a fun ribbon activity hosted by Art Van, a 50/50 raffle, and an opportunity to contribute ideas to the updated River Island Master Plan. And, as in other weeks, there will be great live music, an assortment of full time and guest vendors and the Kids Club, which offers a healthy snack and games.
The move to the new market location means potential to expand market programs, increase vendors and offerings, and more closely link the Lewiston Farmers’ Market to other community-wide events. There is the opportunity to lead place-making and beautification of the Riverfront and the chance to cultivate a unique and vibrant regional market.
The summer market is open 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Sunday through October. In November, the market will remain outdoors, open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.
