Kennebec, Somerset county hospice groups partner on volunteer training

WATERVILLE – Hospice organizations in Kennebec and Somerset counties are partnering on volunteer training in September and October.
Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area, Hospice Volunteers of Somerset County and Hospice Volunteers of Kennebec Valley will offer a collaborative 25-hour volunteer training for those interested in non-medical comfort care for individuals and family members in hospice, as well as for those interested in facilitating adult bereavement support groups.
The training will be held in September and October and will take place both via Zoom and in-person. Dates and times will be determined by a survey of interested participants’ availability. Registration is required.
