Naturalist Heinrich to speak at Readfield Meeting House fundraiser

READFIELD — The Readfield Union Meeting House will host a talk by naturalist and author Bernd Heinrich at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21.
Heinrich will speak on “Some Birds I Have Known.” In previous talks at the Meeting House, he’s drawn a large audience from as far away as Massachusetts. The talk is a fundraiser for the Meeting House, with a $20 admission fee, payable at the door.
Heinrich is a zoologist, naturalist, artist, author, college professor and marathon runner who has more than 20 books to his credit, as well as more than 130 scientific publications and 150 magazine essays.
