NAMIWalks Maine is Oct. 8 in Augusta, and virtually

HALLOWELL – The annual NAMIWalks Maine, which raises money for mental health awareness in the state, will be Saturday, Oct. 8, at Capitol Park, in Augusta. There is also a virtual option.
The Maine chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, brings Mainers together to raise mental health awareness, build community, foster hope, and open doors to support. NAMI Maine’s goal is to raise $100,000 in 100 days to advance mental health support, education and advocacy in the state.
“When it comes to mental health, we are all connected and we are all affected,” organizers said. “When you walk with NAMI Maine, you walk for all of us.”
The money raised from NAMIWalks Maine stay within the State of Maine to advance mental health support.
