MADISON — The Harvell-Bishop VFW Post 7865 Auxiliary will host a car show on Saturday, June 18, at Calvary Pentecostal Church, 160 Preble Ave.
The Auxiliary is raising money to support the work it does for local veterans and their families, including veteran services and community needs.
Anyone with an antique, classic, muscle or specialty car or a jacked-up or decked-out truck may be part of the show. Vehicle registration begins at 8 a.m. The event is open to the public at 10 a.m. Early registration is suggested, but entrants will also be accepted on the day of the event.
Judging classes are Original-Stock, General-Modified, Work-in-Progress and Best in Show. The Best in Show class is based on public voting.
There will be raffles and giveaways throughout the event.
“Food, fun and family friendly, something for everyone” said Sue LeHay, vice president of the Auxiliary. “You do not have to be a motor-head to enjoy the day.”
President Eula DeRockle said, “Our Auxiliary is looking to create an annual event that the community can look forward to year after year. We are actively seeking registrants, sponsors, vendors and prize donations.”
