Artists sought for Maine Open Juried Art Show in Waterville

WATERVILLE — Artists are invited to submit work to the Maine Open Juried Art Show, which will be held March 19 through April 22.
Deadline for submissions is Feb. 21, and artists may submit up to two entries via the digital portal on the Maine Area Art Society website.
The show traditionally attracts entrants from across the state and represents a wide variety of art mediums. There will be cash prizes across five types of categories. Jurors are Karen Adrienne, artist/owner and director of Artdogs Studios and Circling the Square Fine Art Press, Gardiner; Rob Smith, nature photographer and certified master photographer from the Professional Photographers of America; Maggie Libby, artist and curator of digital discover and engagement in special collections and archives at Colby College.
The exhibition will be on display at The Framemakers at 46 Main St., as well as online at the arts society webpage. A Zoom reception and awards will be held Saturday, March 19.
