LEWISTON – The Central Maine Human Resource Council is sponsoring two presentations on compassion fatigue vs. burnout in February.
The first webinar, part of the CMHRA monthly meeting, is 8 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15. It is free to CMHRA members and first-time guests. The second is Thursday, Feb. 24, in partnership with the LA Metro Chamber of Commerce, and is free to CMHRA members; there is a fee for others to attend.
Both are presented by Erica Brown, director of HR wellness programs for the state of Maine and Connor Huggins, a program coordinator with Medical Care Development Public Health.
The webinars focus on challenges for professionals, identifying differences between compassion fatigue and burnout, as well as risk factors and protective factors for these stressors on an individual and organizational level. The talks will provide a means to assess one’s personal vulnerability and include evidence-based research supported protective factors and resources available to reduce compassion fatigue and burnout within individuals and in work settings.
