Central Maine Healthcare welcomed 20 addition members of the Maine National Guard at Central Maine Medical Center’s long-term care facilities Jan. 20 to help with the patient overload caused by COVID-19. Jennifer Bodger, below, Central Maine Healthcare’s system director of care management, talks to the Guard members after they arrived. Their arrival comes a month after 17 Guard members arrived to help open up a swing bed unit at CMMC for patients who need rehabilitation and nursing care before they can be discharged.
