Waterville Jan. 22 cornhole tournament will benefit AYCC Champion Club

WATERVILLE – The Alfond Youth and Community Center will hold a Cabin Fever Cornhold Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 22, to benefit the AYCC Champion Club.
Registration for the tournament will begin at 10 a.m. at The Elm, 21 College Ave., and bags will begin to fly at 11 a.m. The tournament will include divisions, with cash prizes. All proceeds will benefit the AYCC Champion Club.
The Champion Club offers a unified sports program for adults 18 and older who have intellectual disabilities. Partnering with Special Olympics Maine, adults with and without intellectual disabilities are paired through sports and other activities to create a culture of acceptance and inclusion at the AYCC and in our community.
Since the Unified Champion Club was launched in 2019, the program has grown to more than 25 activities and 140 participants thanks to the ongoing generous support and partnership of the Maine Masonic Charitable Foundation.
