MEXICO — Richard Adams received his 70-year membership pin from King Hiram Masonic Lodge 57 on Aug. 22 in a special pinning ceremony.
The local lodge was the original home lodge for Adams, 92, who lives in Lafayette, Ind. He has continuously maintained his membership since becoming a master Mason at 21, though he has resided in Indiana, for most of the years since.
Adams’ son, Terry Adams, drove his father to their cottage on Lake Webb so they could attend the pinning ceremony. It is extremely rare for a member to earn a 70-year pin.
