Lawrence seniors named as PAL Football award winners

FAIRFIELD — The recipients of the Award of Excellence and Scholarship for the 2020 PAL Football season are Jon Roy and Dylan Coombs, John Stewart, of the PAL Football Coaches Association and director of the Fairfield PAL Football program announced.
The coaches association selects two Lawrence High seniors every year for the award, which recognizes dedication, loyalty, character, role models and putting team above self.
Roy and Coombs were unanimous choices for this year’s award, Stewart said. Even though they were not able to take the field this season, their contributions to PAL Football, Lawrence High and the community over the years were not forgotten, he said.
