Shiver Yer Shamrocks & Lucky 7K fundraiser set for March in Waterville

WATERVILLE — The Boys & Girls Clubs and YMCA of Greater Waterville at the Alfond Youth & Community Center in March will offer two great ways to help provide meals to those in the community experiencing food insecurity while having a great time.
“Shiver Yer Shamrocks” — the AYCC’s 28th annual Polar Bear Dip goes virtual in 2021. Plan a creative way to shiver at the location of your choice. Fundraise and participate as an individual or create a team, film your shiver challenge, then submit and share your video.
Examples include a bathing suit clad snowball fight, slip and slide belly sledding, super soaker attack, splash fest with cups or buckets of ice water, baby dunk into an Inflatable or plastic pool, etc. Be as creative as you can and remember, costumes and theme shivers are encouraged!
Top individual fundraiser and the individual with the most viewed video each win a one-week vacation in the Bahamas.Videos are due by St. Patrick’s Day, Wednesday, March 17, and the Facebook Live Award presentation will air at noon Saturday, March 20.
