WATERVILLE — The Alfond Youth Community Center 28th annual Polar Bear Dip will be viral this year.
Participants may choose the time and place they do it, and particpate as an individual or a team with friends, family, and/or colleagues. Those taking part can fundraise, then film their challenge and submit it to the AYCC Facebook page by St. Patrick’s Day, Wednesday, March 17.
All proceeds provide meals and backpacks for youth experiencing food insecurity, with every $25 donation providing a month of weekend food supplement backpacks for a family of three.
Award presentations will be made via Facebook Live on Saturday, March 20. Two top participants each win a one-week Bahamas vacation. There are also prizes for most money raised, most viewed video and more.
