RUMFORD — Hope Association is holding a Wreath of Hope light fundraiser for the Team Leaping Lizards Special Olympics team, as well as selling resusable shopping bags to raise money.
Donors can sponsor lights on the Wreath of Hope through Dec. 31. They will be displayed outside Hope Association, 85 Lincoln Ave. A list of purchased list will be displayed inside and on the association’s Facebook page.
For $5 a light, donors can show love, while supporting the local Special Olympics team. A blue light is in memory of a person or pet, a yellow is for friendship or love, green is in honor of someone who is serving, or has served, in the military.
Lights can be bought at Hope Association, the What-Not-Shop and hopeassociation.org. The What Not Shop is also selling cloth reusable shopping bags to raise money for its programs. The can be found at the What Not Shop, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
