WATERVILLE — Restrictions onsizes for large gatherings into the fall have resulted in the cancellation of the 28th annual Taste of Waterville, originally scheduled to be held Sunday, Oct. 11, at Head of Falls in downtown Waterville.
This year’s event had been moved due to construction on Main Street and the anticipation of increased limits for gatherings. According to the Department of Economic and Community Development, increases beyond the 100-person limit for outdoor gatherings are not expected for the remainder of the year.
President and CEO of the Mid-Maine Chamber Kimberly Lindlof said the committee “will take this time to make next year’s event bigger and better – so watch for information regarding Taste of Waterville 2021 at Head of Falls.”
Committee chair Shawn Michaud said the program will continue to be “an adult-focused day-long event with a variety of food options, ethnic entertainment, and informative walks, along with live entertainment, beer/wine gardens and brew samples. Entertainment and activities will be announced in early summer 2021.”
