New virtual programs available from Cancer Resource Center

NORWAY — The doors of the Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine may be closed, but the center is still available to help individuals living with cancer, their caregivers and their families.
New virtual programs started in July. Programs include:
Virtual Cancer Caregiver Support Group – Will be held 7 to 8 p.m. the third monday of each month. The first session is July 20, and is a new opportunity for family and friends to participate in a positive and caring environment and share, educate, and support each other on the cancer givegiver journey.
Let’s cook healthy meals! Virtual cooking class, 11 a.m. to noon, Friday. Upcoming programs include making flatbreads from scratch, July 10, and Healthy Vegetable Stir Fry, July 24.
Virtual Massage instruction, 10 to 11 a.m. Upcoming classes include Self-Massage, Breast and Lymph July 21, and Self-massage for Head, Neck and Face July 28.
New client orientation is available by phone or virtually, where new clients can meet with Executive Director Diane Madden to learn about the many free programs offered to individuals living with cancer, their caregivers and their families.
Services include wellness programs, wig fittings, food and gas support services, comfort items and free therapy program (massage, yoga, reflexology, reiki for individuals impacted by cancer). Orientation sessions are 20.
