Maine Preservation will hot a brief virtual annual meeting, followed by a free Old House Forum Workshops session, beginning at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, via zoom.
The workshops will include:
BOOTSTRAPPING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT THROUGH REUSE OF HISTORIC STRUCTURES, presented by Hugh French, director, Tides Institute & Museum of Art, Eastport. Participants will learn about a current project that is reusing a historic structure to create economic development.
16 COUNTIES – 16 STORIES OF EARLY MAINE HOUSES, presented by Earle G. Shettleworth Jr., Maine state historian. A whirlwind tour of notable early Maine houses, most built before Maine statehood, with stories of the bold Mainers associated with them.
