AUGUSTA — The Maine Forest Service hopes moms, dads and other special caregivers will take advantage of this opportunity to share with their kids Smokey Bear’s important message: “Only You Can Prevent Wildfires!”
The Maine Forest Service is sponsoring a Smokey Bear coloring contest to help get the message across. Kids of all ages are invited to have fun coloring one or both of two Smokey Bear coloring pages.
Everyone who joins in the fun is encouraged to submit a photo of the completed Smokey Bear artwork. As a thank-you, all submissions will receive a keepsake letter from Maine Forest Service Director Patty Cormier.
The deadline to submit is June 30.
