Finding your way after cancer treatment discussion is March 18

NORWAY — The Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine, 199 Main St., will hold a free session from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesday March 18, “Finding Your Way When Cancer Treatment Has Ended.”
At this point in the process, many patients and caregivers feel lost, asking “What now?” Led by Karen Page, a licensed social worker at the Dempsey Center in Lewiston, this class will provide information about common concerns and practical tips for adjusting to your new normal.
Topics will include dealing with anxiety and stress, establishing and maintaining healthy habits and communicating with your primary care provider. Handouts will focus on resources for dealing with the common issues faced by people when cancer treatment ends.
The session is open to adults, who have recently completed or are about to complete their cancer treatment, and their caregivers.
