Cold and flu season — proper hand washing will help protect you

One of the best ways to protect yourself from cold flu and germs is to wash your hands properly and regularly, especially when traveling, when in public places and at the workplace.
Here how:
* Use soap and hot running water.
* Rub your hands together forming a lot of suds all the way up to your wrist and scrub for no less than 20 seconds. Some say singing “Happy Birthday” twice will get you to 20 seconds.
* It is very important that you scrub your fingernails, under and around the cuticles.
* Dry completely and, if in a public bathroom, don’t touch the faucet and or door handles with those nice clean hands; use a paper towel to turn off the faucet or to open the door, then dispose of the towel.
Help protect yourself and everyone else. We care.
