Waterville Public Library kids, teens events for January set

WATERVILLE — The Waterville Public Library has a solid lineup of events planned for kids and teens for January.
All programs are free and open to the public at the library, 73 Elm St.
Satur-Play is from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Children’s Room, though the time may change for special programs. Topics for January are Jan. 4, Legos; Jan. 11, board games; Jan. 18, snowy STEM activity; Jan 25, winter craft;, Jan. 21, Love on a Leash, which will be from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Crafternoons are 2:30 to 4 on Tuesday. Topics this month are Jan. 7, Paper Plate Arctic Fox; Jan. 14, Color & Make Button; Jan. 21, Snow Man Craft; Jan. 28, Sock Harp Seal.
Children under 7 must be accompanied by a grown-up helper.
Homeschool Hub: 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Thursdays, homeschoolers meet for games, crafts, speakers, and more. There is an activity in the children’s department for attendees in 1st-6th grades, and an activity in the Bartlett Room for Teens for 6th-12th grades. The activity changes every week.
The hub won’t meet Jan. 2. For the rest of the month, the topics are: Jan. 9, board games for all grades; Jan. 16, Permaculture Program: Plan Your Garden, for all grades; Jan. 23, legos for grades 1 to 5, video games for 6 through 12; Jan. 20, Sensory Maze Making with Chris Dorman for grades 1 to 5, marble mazes for 6 through 12.
Rhymetime: for Babies, toddlers and their grownups meets from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Fridays in the Children’s Department. Topics for January are Jan. 3, Letter R; Jan. 10, Letter S; Jan. 17, Letter T; Jan. 24, Letter U; Jan. 31, Letter V.
The library also offers teen movie nights for ages 11-18, Thursdays at 4 p.m. The movie changes every week, and teen game nights from 4 to 6 p.m. every Monday, though there won’t be a teen game night Jan. 20.
