The holiday season always brings a rush of energy to Greenwood Orchards farmstand at 174 Auburn Road (Route 4) in Turner. Orders for pies have been coming in for several weeks, and estimates are more than 150 will leave the premises by Thanksgiving Day. Owner Kathryn King is well known to customers for her baked goods, especially homemade breads, cookies, bars and pies. Here she is working on seven pies filled with Northern Spy apple slices and spices. Greenwood Orchards is open daily through the holidays. (Linda Galway photos)
