Waterville hospice ‘Lights for Life’ celebration is Dec. 5

WATERVILLE — Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area have extended an open invitation for community members to attend the annual Lights for Life open house Thursday, Dec. 5, with the tree ighting scheduled for 6:15 p.m. Before the tree lighting, there will be light snacks and beverages, fellowship and warm hospitality at the HVWA Community Center, 304 Main St.
The hospice staff, volunteers and members of the community take time each year to celebrate the memory of their loved ones, who have died, by participating in the Lights for Life program.
The organization also announced it’s selling its 2019 Angel Remembrance ornament, available to those who would like to remember a loved one. Proceeds support hospice volunteer and bereavement programs.
Ornaments include a tag displaying the honored individual’s name, and measure 3 inches by 3 inches and come pre-wrapped in an organza bag. Ornaments can be picked up at the Lights for Life Celebration, or any time after. Orders can be shipped to those individuals outside of the greater Waterville area or to those unable pick them up the volunteer office, 304 Main St.
