L.C. Bates Museum’s Night At the Museum Flashlight Tours are Oct. 18, 25

FAIRFIELD — Halloween comes alive and is fun at The L. C. Bates Museum’s annual Halloween Night at the Museum Flashlight Tours.
The flashlight tours will be held on two Friday nights, Oct. 18 and 25, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at the museum on Route 21. Animal exhibits will appear in a new light during the “Flashlight Tours,” geared for familly fun.
Events include holiday scavenger hunts and activities like dissecting owl pellets in the classroom after the tour. The museum has many unique decorations that give new meaning to the museum’s bird collections and a special night view of the museum’s animals.
Participants are asked to bring a flashlight, come dressed up or not, and enjoy a night of fun. The a little creepy but totality awesome flashlight tours include the decorated museum, Halloween hunts, and animal activities in the classroom, with the oppportunity to view some animal skulls, make a bat or spider craft and more after the tours.
The Museum Halloween décor can be exciting in the daytime, too. Visitors can come during the day between Oct 16 and Nov. 1 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and Sunday afternoons to see the holiday trimmings and explore Halloween in a new way.
