NORWAY — The Western Maine Art Group will present an exhibit of works by print maker Emily Wentworth during the month of June at the Matolcsy Art Center, 480 Main St.
The exhibit opens with a reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 7. Wentworth will lead a discussion on the printmaking process at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 15, at the Art Center. The event is free and open to the public.
Wentworth lives in the Sebago Lake region and has forged a dual career in printmaking and education from her overlapping interests in French, art, art history, language study, literature and European history into a printmaker and educator. She first learned printmaking at Mt Holyoke College and then pursued graduate work in medieval studies (University of St Andrews), art (Edinburgh College of Art) and French (University of Maine and Yale University).
This free exhibit will be open from noon to 3 p.m. Saturdays and by appointment from June 7 through June 22.
