WATERVILLE — Waterville Public Library is hosting a Free Comic Book Day from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, May 4, in the Bartlett Room at the library, 73 Elm St.
Free Comic Book Day is a single day when participating comic book specialty shops and libraries across North America and around the world give away comic books absolutely free to anyone who comes into their shops and libraries.
Costumes are encouraged, but not required. Comic books will be handed out from 10 a.m. to noon while supplies last.
After participants pick out their free comics, they may design and create a custom pin.
This year the library is partnering with Black Cape Comics, which is also holding a Free Comic Book Day event at 177 Main St.
