Lithgow Library Open Mic Night is Feb. 4

Jan. 62019

AUGUSTA — There will be an Open Mic Night on Monday, Feb. 4, at Lithgow Public Library, 45 Winthrop St.
The event is free and open to the public.

Because of the unpredictable nature of community performances, the library offers a “gentel warning” — the event may have strong language and mature content. While all ages are welcome to watch and/or participate, parental discretion is advised.
Signups for mic slots will start at 5:45 p.m., with performances starting at 6 p.m. Spoken word performances will be allowed five minutes; musical performances will be allowed two songs or eight minutes, whichever comes first. Time slots will be given in the order in which they appear on the signup sheet, with the final performance starting at 7:40 p.m.
If the library is closed because of inclement weather, the snow date will be Monday, Feb. 11.
The library is also planning an April Open Mic Poetry Night — organizers say last year’s was a “great success.” Poets and organizations who would like to be featured should contact Julie Olsen at Julie.Olson@lithgowlibrary.org for more information.
For more information, call the library at 207-626-2415 or visit www.lithgowlibrary.org.
