Embden Community Center December events set

EMBDEN — The Embden Community Center has a variety of regular events scheduled, including Country Sunday open mics and its Neighbor to Neighbor Thrift Shop/Lending Library.

There’s also a special event this month — The Adam and Doug Band from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15. The performance, which has an $8 admission charge, will be canceled if it snows.
Country Sunday Open Mic is 1 to 4 p.m. the second and fourth Sunday of the month, including Dec. 23 this month. A donation is asked.
The thrift shop and lending library is 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
There are also suppers each month, at 5 p.m. the second Saturday, except for the month of December. The suppers are $8, kids under 12 eat for $4.
Weekly events are sewing class, 10 a.m. to noon, Wednesday; Weight Watchers 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday (new members accepted), TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly), 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesdays; Yoga, 8 to 9 a.m. and 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturdays, bring your own mat and other supplies, donation requested.
Community Center meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. on the Thursday before the second Saturday supper.
