DIXFIELD — Pastor Ken and Linda Hinkley will host the second annual Family, Fun and Food Get Together Saturday, Sept. 8, beginning at noon at 434 Common Road.
The afternoon will feature a pot luck meal, games for family and friends, and time to visit with neighbors and others who attend. There will be prizes, and the event is open to anyone interested in participating, but Hinkley noted parking is limited. Any proceeds from the day will support the Family Education Fund.
“Come when you can, leave when you’re ready,” Hinkley said, describing the event as “a combination reunion and fundraiser.”
He said the fund awards a gift “to anyone in our extended family for completion of college or trade school.” Although there is no charge to attend, participants must buy tickets to play games and win prizes.
“This is a chem-free event, including alcohol,” Hinkley ssaid. “It started as an extended family gathering. Now we are asking others to come join us.” In the event of inclement weather, call 207-576-7470 for an alternate location.
