Waterville Library has April events for kids, teens

WATERVILLE — There is plenty going on for teens and younger kids at the Waterville Public Library in April, particularly during school vacation week.
Crafternoons will be held from 2:30 to 4 p.m. every Tuesday in the children’s room on the lower level.

Fun crafts includes pom-pom birds nests on April 4, soda bottle fairly houses on on April 10, pipe clearner and bead caterpillars and butterflies on April 17, and tissue paper flowers on April 24.
Children under 7 must be accompanied by a grown-up helper.
The Teen Anime and Art Club will meet from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, and the group will play Dead Simple, a paper and pencil roleplaying game, where players control a character and go on quests for fame, fortune and glory, The event is free and open to attendees ages 10 to 18. Registration is required, and there are 10 spots available.
There will be premade characters for attendees to choose from on a first come first served basis. All materials will be provided but attendees are welcome to bring their own sets of gaming dice if they choose. Light refreshments will be provided.
Teen Game Night will be held on three nights during school vacation, from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, Wednesday, April 18 and Friday, April 20. There will not be a game night on Monday, April 16, becuse of Patriots Day.
There will be PS3 games available, as well as a variety of board games. Particpants may also bring a board or card game to share. Games available include Settlers of Catan, One Night Ultimate Werewolf, Apples to Apples, Exploding Kittens, Munchkin, Fluxx, Monopoly, Jenga and more. Game night is free and open to attendees ages 11-18.
Light refreshments will be provided.
