BATH — The Chocolate Church Arts Center will off a theater camp for kids interested in live theater, radio theater and inter-media art from Monday, April 16 to Friday April 20.
The center, at 804 Washington St., will partner with actor Dennis St. Pierre, who brings more than 30 years of stage and television experience, to the “Kids Only! Steam Power Theater Camp,” for those in grade 3 through 9.
“It is just a few short weeks until families will have to have options in place for school break in April. Many families do not leave town during school break,” said Jennifer DeChant, executive director of the Chocolate Church Arts Center. “This camp is an educational, creative and engaged way for students to enjoy their own stay-cation.”
Students will be immersed in an enriching theatrical experience. Regardless of their ability, the process encourages skills of play, social interaction, story-telling, imagination, play writing, improvisation, impersonation and comedy interlaced with physical activity and engagement.
