WATERVILLE — The next session of Hope’s Place support groups for grieving children will be held on Wednesday nights beginning April 4, and continue through May 16. The program was originally scheduled to begin March 21.
Groups begin at 6 p.m. and end by 7 p.m. The mission of Hope’s Place is to provide a safe, supportive environment for grieving children, teens and families through peer support groups.
The serves youth ages 3 through 18 and their parents or caregivers. Families who have experienced the death of a loved one may contact Jillian Roy at 207-873-3615 ext. 19 or email jroy@hvwa.org for more information or to arrange a pre-group interview.
All Hope’s Place group sessions are held at the First Congregational Church UCC, 7 Eustis Parkway.
Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area serves 27 communities in central Maine, providing non-medical support to individuals and their families during the last phases of life, to loved ones throughout the grieving process, and to educate the community on issues related to death and grieving. Bereavement services are available to anyone who has sustained loss either through illness or unexpectedly. HVWA is volunteer-based and community funded.
