TOPSHAM — Ben Zabin, one of America’s top teen magicians, will perform a one-night magic show 7 p.m. Friday, March 30, at the Orion Performing Arts Center, Mt. Ararat Middle School, 66 Republic Ave.
The show is a fundraiser for capital needs at the Orion, currently seeking to have an installed projector and to begin an upgrade to LED theatrical lighting.
The Orion Performing Arts Center features great acoustics, 900 seats and a beautiful lobby. Fully accessible, the theater hosts both school and community events and performances year-round, and is available for rent.
Zabin’s award-winning show is a fusion of Las Vegas-style illusions, mind-reading and sleight of hand, woven together by Zabin’s perfect comedic timing.
There are no lame card tricks, no rabbits out of hats — just fresh, interactive magic keeping audiences on the edge of their seats in amazement, while holding their stomachs from laughing so hard. At 19, Zabin has been entertaining audiences for 14 years. He was the youngest magician to appear in a running magic show in Las Vegas, had a one-man off-Broadway show, and is the recipient of more than a dozen prestigious awards and honors.
