River Valley Rotary topic was substance abuse and recovery

Brandon Schauffler and Jessica Abbott were the guest speakers at the Feb. 26 River Valley Rotary Club fellowship luncheon at HOPE Association, 85 Lincoln Ave., Rumford. Abbott, a substance use prevention specialist, is the recovery coach for the Western Maine Addictive Recover Initiative. Shauffler serves as the network facilitator for Oxford County Wellness Collaborative. Their presentation focused on the need for educational programming to help addicts through the recovery process.
