Bowdoin’s Berry-Gaviria honored at Maine State House

AUGUSTA — Sen. Eloise Vitelli, D-Arrowsic, presented Lisandro Berry-Gaviria, a sophomore at Topsham’s Mt. Ararat High School with a legislative sentiment at the State House in Augusta on Feb. 20.

The sentiment recognizes Berry-Gaviria, of Bowdoin, for winning the Class A State Cross Country Championship last fall. A legislative sentiment is a significant expression by the Legislature in recognition of civic and public achievements.
Berry-Gaviria is the son of Rep. Seth Berry, D-Bowdoin, who represents District 55, and Adelaida Gaviria.
