PORTLAND — Donors of all blood types are needed to help ensure the Red Cross can collect more than 13,000 blood and platelet donations needed every day.
During the month of basketball’s “March Madness,” it’s important to remember giving blood takes less time than it takes to watch a single basketball game, the organization said. Make an appointment to donate blood by downloading the free Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting redcrossblood.org or calling 800-RED CROSS 800-733-2767.
