WATERVILLE — The Waterville Public Library has planned several activities to keep kids occupied during school vacation week — Feb. 19 through 23. All events are at the library, 73 Elm St. Children under 7 must be accompanied by a grown-up helper.
* Crafternoon — Snow Measuring Stick, Tuesday, Feb. 20 — 2 to 4 p.m. Looking for a way to brighten up your child’s day? Drop in to participate in a fun craft.
* Catapult, Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2 to 4 p.m. Find out how the catapult changed castle warfare. Build and fire your own mini-model catapult.
* “Pop up” architecture, Thursday, Feb. 22, 2 to 4 p.m. Experience a building challenge. Learn how to be a designer/model builder/architect using Popsicle sticks.
* Altered Books, Friday, Feb. 23, 2 to 4 p.m. Learn how to “upcycle” pages from broken books into your own unique art project!
* Board Game Day, Saturday, Feb. 24, 2 to 4 p.m. Bring family and friends to the children’s department to play new and classic games.
