WATERVILLE — The Maine Arts Commission will host a grants workshop, Arts Funding 2018, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, at the Waterville Public Library.
Light refreshments will be served at 5 p.m. and the workshop will run from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The snow date is Tuesday, Jan. 30.
Kerstin Gilg of the Maine Arts Commission will present information about applying for grants in general and the way the Maine Arts Commission awards funding in particular. Participants should come prepared to have a conversation about how the arts in Maine get funded and how grants fit into that discussion.
A particular focus will be on the commission grant cycle that opens in January and has deadlines in March. The program is co-hosted by Waterville Creates! and the Waterville Public Library.
