WATERVILLE — Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area will hold the annual Lights for Life service and tree lighting from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at the First Congregational Church and Hospice Community Center, 304 Main St.

Hospice staff, volunteers and members of the community take time each year to celebrate the memory of their loved ones who have died by participating in the Lights for Life program.

A memorial service will begin at 5 p.m. at the church, across the street from the Hospice Community Center.

The Rev. Mark Wilson will lead a non-denominational service. Before the tree lighting at 6:15 p.m., light snacks and beverages will be available at the center.

The 2017 snowflake remembrance ornament will be an option for purchase to those who would like to remember a loved one. Proceeds from the event support hospice volunteer and bereavement programs.
