WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senator Susan Collins, R-Maine, was awarded the American Lung Association Maine’s Roselle Huddilston Award, one of the organization’s highest honors.
The award recognizes Collins’ leadership on health care issues, according to a news release from the American Lung Association Maine chapter.
The award was created in 1957 in honor of Roselle Huddilston of Orono, a past president of the American Lung Association in Maine and passionate volunteer for improving the health and lives of Maine residents, the release said.
Collins was presented the award at the association’s annual Turquoise and Tapas event Nov. 9.
