Somerset Woods Trustees annual dinner is Sept. 10

SKOWHEGAN — The Somerset Woods Trustees are holding a 90th birthday party and annual conservation and awards presentation Sunday, Sept. 10.
The event will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lakewood Inn, Madison.

This year’s conservation award winner is Alfred Jackson, who donated land in Madison. The stewardship award toes to Jeff Lloyd who donated towards a new trail at Coburn Woods.
The guest speaker will be Andrew Barton, a forest ecologist, science writer and professor of biology at the University of Maine at Farmington.
