NORTH ANSON — Northern Star Masonic Lodge 28 is hosting a 3k race with a twist — it’s an obstacle course. The run begins at 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, at Carrabec High School. The safe, but challenging, trail race for ages 12 and up will have 12 obstacles on the 3k (1.8 mile) course.
For pre-registration for early heats, call 635- 2099 at Dirigo Timberlands at 18 North Main St., to get a registration by email. Or stop by the office between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Registration will also be available starting at 7 a.m. on race day. Maps and obstacle details will be available on race day.
There are cash prizes for the top male and female winners and free T-shirts for the first 15 entries.
After the race there will be a public auction a Northern Star Masonic Lodge 28 across the street, starting at 9:30 a.m. All proceeds benefit the Northern Star Lodge.
